E-Cigarettes (Vaping)

Our team is an e-cigarette friendly service.  We recognise that for many people e-cigarettes are a great way of cutting back or stopping smoking tobacco altogether.

Recent research has shown that e-cigarettes (or vapes) are used by about 20% of the population, with these users being made up mostly of smokers or ex-smokers. Public Health England have stated that e-cigarettes are around 95% less harmful than normal cigarettes and therefore can have a positive health impact on those who choose e-cigarettes over smoking tobacco.

Our team supports the use of e-cigarettes as an aid to quitting and, in some cases, they can be used along with a nicotine replacement product.

Whilst there are currently no e-cigarettes available on the market that are registered as a medical aid to support quitting we are not able to supply these. Our trained practitioners can support you in making the switch to e-cigarettes and advise you on where to go to get further support on the right e-cigarette for you if that is what you would like to do as part of your quit attempt.

We are currently not able to support people who only use e-cigarettes to stop using these, but if you are concerned about your use of an e-cigarette, please contact us to talk through your issues. We will be happy to help.
