Maintaining a healthy weight reduces your risk of diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. It can help to reduce your risk of developing coronary heart disease, some cancers and many other benefits too such as increasing your energy levels, improved flexibility and mobility.

A combination of eating more healthily and increasing physical activity levels is the most effective way to maintain a healthy weight, however, a lot of us still find it hard to make healthy choices. Often we have the best of intentions but some how other things take over. What we really need is a bit of motivation and some practical ideas as to how we can fit the recommendations in to our daily lives.
